Hi, I’m Alethea — the person behind My Midlife Crisis Creative Inc., and the mind behind Laverna the Rockin Raccoon.

I’m a live music photographer and content strategist based in Lawrence and Kansas City, focused on capturing what actually makes a show worth remembering — the energy, the movement, and the moments that people respond to after the lights go down.

My background is in behavioral science and special education, where I spent years studying how people interact, respond, and communicate. That same lens now applies to live music and creative work — understanding not just what’s happening on stage, but what makes people pay attention to it.

I don’t just take photos. I build usable content.

That means:
